Thankful Thursday #66

Welcome to Thankful Thursday. This is the first time I am officially leading this (I guess I am officially leading, although I have no official documentation to back it up) so thank you all for coming. Those of you that have been following me for sometime know that my sense of humor comes through in almost everything that I write, even in my Thankful Thursday posts. Those that know me also know that I am almost always upbeat and positive so I am hoping to pass some of those positive thoughts and feelings along to my readers. I will hope that what I write encourages you to be positive and thankful as well and I invite everyone to join in by signing up below.

I need to caution you though that I am by no way a blogger expert so some of the links or buttons may not work at first but I will keep trying until I get them right. I have been getting lots of help from Sonya who used to host Thankful Thursday and another blogger who is one of my biggest fans. I hope you will become a fan as well. So if anything on here doesn’t work properly just let me know so I can get it corrected. And one last thing before I get into this week’s post; I cannot visit blogger from work (new company policy) so if I mess up my post before work I won’t be able to get it straightened out until after work.

This week I am thankful for and humbled by being asked to host this Meme. I don’t know what I did to deserve such an honor but I am so delighted that some of you thought I was worthy. (doing the I’m not worthy thing here) But I am dedicated to making this work, so much that I will be getting up an extra 15 minutes early just to launch my Thursday post. This means I will have to get up around 4 am (actually 3 this morning) to get this done. I think any time before lightness should be BM for "Before Morning" but then that’s just the way I think. Anyway, I thank you all.

I am thankful for my family who supports me in my crazy endeavors when I am already overworked. I do think that I work better under pressure.

I am thankful for all my blogging buddies. Lately I haven’t been posting as much as I used to but for some reason my followers have increases. I am not sure why but I am thankful for all the great comments and followers. I am thinking that that number may even increase once I get the Thankful Thursday rolling. That would make me happy.

I am thankful for all the abilities that God has given me. There are so many things I can do that the average guy can’t. Over my lifetime, I picked up so many skills that it amazes most people. Sometimes it seems more like a curse than a blessing when I get those; “Greg could you please help me with…..”Calls but I do know that it is a blessing. I doubt if there is anything I can’t do if I really put my mind to it. Well other than figuring out this blogging stuff. I bet I could even do that if I really tried. I will put that on my to-do list.

I am thankful that spring is just around the corner.(although you wouldn't know it by the thermometer this morning. It's 34 deg) Other than my allergies killing me, it is my favorite time of year. I have so much to do to get ready for spring. I have weeding, tilling, planting and bird house making to do. I have to fix our riding mower and get our boat running and work on our water system and oh yes…Get some more blogging in.

Please sign up below if you want to join in. I am borrowing this Mr. Linky this week and still working on my sidebar button but we are up and running this morning. And it's only 345. :)

Have a great day,

Greg

3.45- are you SERIOUS? I'm very glad you decided to take this on, I've missed reading other folks Thankfuls. I hope it works out ok for you.

....'sense of humour'...is that what you call it??? My children call what I consider to be my sense of humour 'a total embarassment, Mom'...but then children really are hopeless judges of such things!!!
I agree that being able to do many things can be a mixed blessing, but then again I think its the way we once were and all should be again- if that makes sense?
And yes, you are upbeat, and yes, following you is fun and interesting and thought-provoking! But still- 3.45????

Yeah, here we go! I grabbed the button code, but the button isn't actually showing up right in your sidebar, so maybe it isn't ready yet. I'll take it over to my place and see what happens. I think you said you were still working on it.

I understand why you are thankful for your bloggies- they are pretty nice. It's good to have lots, though happiness isn't always dependent on numbers :)

You are blessed to be good at so many different things- including the ability to get up at 3 or even 4 a.m.! That has always stunned me a little, b/c that is the middle of the night for me, the very pinnacle of my REM sleep time- whew!

I'm also thankful that you always strive to see the brightest side of every situation.

Blessings today,
Heidi

Greg,

I will definitely get into joining this as soon as I get a blog schedule somewhat put together. It's funny how life does that to you. Keeps you busy sometimes with things we don't want to do.

Be sure you stop by today for a last minute opportunity to participate in two giveaways for tomorrow.

Love and Hugs ~ Kat

Hi Greg! Congrats on your first TT post!!! I didn't get a chance to post today after all. I ended up going on a field trip with my daughter, so I will try to do better next week.

You are worthy.

Great post, Greg. I love the picture too. It kind of reminds me of the Ojai Valley where I grew up in California.

Thank you everyone for commenting and following. How does the saying go; Make new friends but keep the old. I am so happy for my regular followers and for the new ones as well.

Thursday came and went and I didn't get my Thankful post up. Then I had a falling out w/...well anyway, I wasn't feeling very thankful- though it would have done me a LOAD of good to write a Thankful post last eve.

Anyway. I'm sorry. I will plan to participate next time. Though I do have to work next week a lot. I will try. I want to do it.

Thanks for taking it up. Sorry about the nursery rhyme.

Wonderful Greg. You'll do a great job at this. And you will most definitely bring your own twist to it, a fun sense of humor and wit. May God use this to reach others for Christ!
