Meadow Surprises

On my walk this morning, I had to pass through a small meadow. Well actually it was more like a field but I like using the name "meadow". Anyway, on the way though the meadow, I noticed a few things that deserved some attention so I took picures of them. It reminded me that sometimes we are so focused on going somewhere that we don't even notice things al0ng the way. I think everyone needs to stop and smell the roses or any flower for that matter.

Thanks, I wasn't expecting to see one that big this time of year. I have started looking at the little things around me and I am really surprised how much beauty is there that goes unnoticed. Thanks for visiting my blog.

"...how much Beauty there is that goes unnoticed"~

There's a sentiment full of truth!
Well spoken sir~

We've had very warm weather here for the last week or so- and I am loathe to turn on the ac yet...so all my windows are open.
The birds singing between 5 and 6 am, still in the dark, is simply beautiful. And most of us, with our insulated houses and central heat and air- miss out everyday on the gift that awaits our ears- if we would just listen.
And the equal gift that awaits our eyes- if we would only look.

I'm off to plant a Carolina Jasmine vine with gorgeous yellow flowers alongside my deck- I wanted to get that done before I head out tomorrow :)

Hope you have a lovely week~
Thanks for your visit at Mayden's Voyage :)

That's a great picture of the black swallowtail! I've had only a couple of tiger's and never a black. I love planting to attract the butterflies and hummingbirds.

Thanks Apple, there seems to be a lot of butterflys around this year and bees too so it should be a great year for plants.
