Letter to the Editor and Chief.

Mr. President, Men and Women of Congress and Senators: I know you are all busy these days trying to get the budget passed (IE: pouting, throwing temper tantrums and pointing fingers) which is why I didn’t bother sending this to you. Most likely it would be lost in the tons of letters that you already have and that you have no intention of reading. I am hoping however that those of you who follow my blog (and I know the numbers are great) will read this and take it to heart. Coming up with a balanced budget isn’t that hard. Millions of Americans have been doing it for years and with less and less each year and some of us are making it. Yes many of us are struggling but we are still in the green which is more than I can say for your budget. So I thought I would go over some basics and maybe that would help you out. For starters there are only three things that you have to consider; How much money you have coming in and how much you have going out. Now some of you didn’t even catch the mi...

What about now.

You know we are in trouble when congressmen and women actually show up for a congressional meeting. What is this world coming to? The truth is there is little the average person can do to help the situation other than not panicking. The best thing we can do at this time is to sit back and do nothing. Well except to voice our opinion and tell our Congressmen and Senators how we feel and what we want them to do. In the mean time, I give you my: Top 10 signs we might be in a financial crisis. # 10. Disney World ticket prices may drop below 100.00 a ticket this year. Yea I may be able to go now. #9. Martha Stewart is thinking about going back “in” where it is safe (and free). #8. There is talk of selling Alaska to Russia since “they are so close you can see right across the border.” #7. McDonald's has a new jingle for the big Mack that goes like this; Special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onion on a day old bun. (read my lips, no more meat) #6. The 12 days of Christmas has been reduced ...

I'm considering not voting in this election!

Image
You heard me right. I am considering the option of not voting in this presidential election. I didn’t come up with the idea myself. No I actually got it from some other bloggers. Don’t ask me to name names though. It’s not that I am above finger pointing. It’s just that at the moment, I don’t remember who actually posted about this concept first. You see, I sometimes bloghop and I really don’t remember where I saw this. Not familiar with the term bloghop? It is where you start out on one blog, then see an interesting comment from someone else so you go to their blog. Then you follow someone to another blog and before you know it you are lost in blogworld and you can’t remember how you got where you are. But I am off the subject so let me back up. Yes I am thinking about not voting and to tell the truth I am not alone. Thousands, maybe millions are already planning on doing it too. But before you jump all over me and call me a communist, let me post my flag so that you can see I am a tr...

"Scatterbrained"

No, it's not another game. It is how my brain is functioning this morning. :)It seems to be jumping from one subject to the next like a little honey bee. Great meeting: We had a great meeting last night at our real estate office. For those that didn’t know it, my wife and I are both real estate agents. It is another one of our many talents. We work for “Carolina Real Estate Connection” in case anyone wants to buy or sell homes or property in the Charleston area. We are only an email away. My email is listed on my blog. Also you can visit our site at: www.mlsincharleston.com I had nothing great to report at the meeting though only because everything is going so well for me now that nothing stands out. This is a good thing. Now don’t quit coming to my blog just because I said I am an agent. For some reason that tends to scare people away. We don't bite, really. Well some do but my wife and I don't. We need change! That seems to be the focus of this year’s presidential campa...

Where do you stand on the issues?

The other night my sister and I were bored so we were watching Presidential debate reruns. (As if it isn’t bad enough the first time.) It was actually highlights showing the differences between Republicans and Democrats. On most issues there were majorities on the right and left with a few mixed in the middle but on one issue it was unanimous and opposite on each side. “Gays and Lesbians in the military” I am sure everyone knows that the policy is “don’t ask don’t tell” Or in other words “it’s ok as long as no one finds out”. But what is the big problem here? Do we not want gays and lesbians to fight for their country? Heck I know some people that just want to beat up gays just because they are different. No I don’t think that is it. I think it has to do with Homophobia. And Lesbiaphobia. (I made that last one up. Sounds kind of presidential doesn’t it) For those that don’t know what those terms mean, let me explain. Homophobia is the fear of homos (as the people that have it call them...
