I'm Soooooooooo tired this morning
I tried to sleep on my back last night (as the doctor suggested) but that didn’t work with all this sinus drainage I have going on. I am ok when I am sitting up or propped up but laying flat on my back is defiantly the wrong thing to do. This will just have to wait until after allergy season. I woke up at 11 pm last night after only an hour and a half sleep, and needed to sit up so I went to the couch to try and sleep. I was drifting off when our cat; “Mr. T” decided to hop on the couch and much to his surprise there was a body there. He kept making noises until finally at 1:30 I decided to go back to bed and try sleeping again but this time on my side.
All was well and I drifted back off to sleep but then at 3 am, Mr. T decided it was too quiet in the house so he made his usual sign signifying that he wanted to go out. What he does is go over to the mini blinds and rattle them with his paw until someone gets up and lets him out. My wife did the honors but it woke me again and it took me another half hour to get back to sleep. I was finally sleeping well at 415 when my alarm went off.
On the way into work, I struggled to stay awake. (I need my coffee) I stopped at a busy intersection for a red light and started to drift off as I waited. Out of the corner of my sleepy eyes, I saw something green and knew the light must have turned. I saw cars ahead of me moving so I started out. The cars coming at me then turned right in front of me like I wasn’t even there. I thought what a bunch of fools. Don’t they know who has the right of way here? Then I looked up and saw that the green I saw was the turn arrow. Oops, sorry people. By then I was right in the middle of the intersection so I just continued on. That was a close call.
The part that really bothered me was that those people were going to let me hit them just because they had the right of way. When I thought I had the right of way and saw them in front of me, I hit the brakes to avoid hitting them. They on the other hand were willing to hit me just because they were legally right. That really bothers me. People will do what is legally right when what they are doing is morally right. If I had to sum up what I think is wrong with the world today it is that legal and moral issues are diverging. People do things because the “law” allows it when deep down they know (or should know) that it is wrong. I better get off my soap box before I get too deep but you all know what I am talking about.
For those keeping track of my progress, I finished Job. No I’m not quit my job, I finished reading Job and am now reading Psalms. I like Psalms much better. Job was kind of depressing. It reminded me of my least favorite movie: “It’s a Wonderful Life.” I mean the ending was good but the rest was depressing. I think there may be some copyright infringement going on here. The stories are too similar.
Have a great day,

I know the type of drivers you're talking about, they are the same people who speed up to try and intimidate you for no reason whatsoever! I'll do most anything to avoid a wreck, especially since I had surgery and all.
Maybe you can try some sleepy time tea with valerian root?! It knocks me OUT!!
Raise all the blinds tonight so the cat can't reach them....HaHa
Hope today is a wonderful peaceful sleep with plesant dreams.
LOL:Wanda
Drivers just don't demonstrate any respect for the laws of the road or common sense anymore. I've about worn out the brake on the right side of the car...it takes both me and my husband driving the car to keep us safe out there! I don't know what he would do without me!!!
You are so right about the moral and the legal. Good makings of a sermon there.
Those nights are hell when one keeps waking up...
My son has insomnia. I know its' rough without a lot of sleep.
