Excuses Excuses

I have to tell you, nothing gets my blood boiling faster than someone who always makes excuses. I hear it daily at work. Some people will talk for hours about why they can’t do a job or explaining why a job shouldn’t be theirs when it wouldn’t have taken more than a few minutes to do the job in the first place. I get frustrated and end up simply doing the job myself. I know that is a bad thing to do but to tell the truth, I enjoy working and I hate complaining. I would rather do a little more work myself than have to listen to complaining. That may be why people complain. They know if they complain enough someone else will do the job.

Well it finally happened. My new digital camera died just like the first one. Whatever happened to quality control? I guess buying the cheapest one on the market wasn’t a good idea. I want to start taking more 35 mm pictures though so maybe this is the EXCUSE I needed. OOPs I am making excuses here and I really hate that. Does this mean I hate myself? I bet a shrink could have fun with this. I took some recently with this camera but they didn’t turn out well. My camera is a manual one and it will take great photos if you have the settings right. I started taking this roll a while back and forgot what type of film it was. I set the camera on 400 film but when I took the film out, I found out it was 200 film so the pictures are a little dark. Oh no, here I go with EXCUSES again. Let me just show you the pictures before I dig myself into a hole I can’t get out. Here they are. They are Mexican petunias, lemonade day lilies, lantana and Aztec sunflowers. If you like these pictures, check out my son's blog called Wadmalaw Gardens. Enjoy.

Beautiful flowers! I have a favorite digital (Kodak Easyshare) that I have taken thousands of images with but loved it. It has a problem, I think its' worn out.

Then I got a new camera, some PC magazine rated it really top for its' price range and I just can't get use to it. I'm still trying.

Gosh I remember using my old
35 mm before the days of digital. It cost me a fortune.

I agree with you about complainers. No one wants to hang around with a complainer who is not willing to lift a finger to resolve the problem they are complaining about.

Gosh never seen petunias like this - how lovely. So is the lantana but the sunflowers! Oh my! they are gorgeous.
I have day lilies that color too - what a neat name. Must be the weather - my batteries died tonight in the middle of a photo shoot :)

Your flowers are lovely. I do know what you mean about people that complain about everything. I'm sure I do it myself at times but I really do try to see the bright side and I also love to work.

I like the Aztec sunflowers!!

I love my Olympus camera! You can set it on automatic or use the many different settings. I just leave it on automatic and I'm very happy with the pictures. What's really nice about it is that it is very small and I carry it with me all the time.

The graininess looks almost like a polaroid to me.....kinda neat.

Your film speed is the ISO setting, the higher the ISO the grainier the picture will become. 400 speed film is good when you anticipate taking photos in low light settings, but 200 would be an all-around good speed to use for general everyday photos. Let's say you're going to spend a day at the beach, you'll want to use 200 or 100 even for crisp clear photos.

The legend of Flat Stanley (A Horror Story)

There are a few things in life that upset me: Spiders, rude people, unruly children and spilling my coffee to name a few. But nothing gets my blood boiling faster than hearing the name Flat Stanley. On the surface, Stanley sounds like something innocent, but I am here to tell you that he is evil and has the power to tear your family apart. Flat Stanley was the brain child Dale Hubert, a third grade teacher from Ontario Canada. Back in 1995, he decided to start this project to inflict pain on unsuspecting parents and students as well. The concept is simple: You take a picture of Flat Stanley and decorate it. Then you cut it out and there you have it….Flat Stanley. Then you send it to other people and they take stupid photos of them with Stanley or you take him on vacation with you in order to ruin your vacation and Dale should be shot or better yet put in a pot of boiling oil and slowly fried and tortured and and and Ha Ha….Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha….Whahahahahahahahaha Sorry this happens every ti...
