I like it. I like it alot!

Last night I took a few more photo's with my new camera. I really like it a lot. What I got was a Sony Cyber-shot DCS-H3. It is really easy to use and I like all the features it has. It is 8.1 Mega Pixels, with a 10X optical zoom. It has a stabilization feature which is nice for those of us with not so steady hands. I got it from a website called Dealcatcher.com which is where I got my laptop computer. I shopped around and they had the best deal. So here are some photo's that I took last night in mixed light.

Here is a not so cooperative Tufted Titmouse. I guess he was shy and didn't want his picture taken.

The chickadee was a much better subject although he looked a little annoyed.

This is one of my caster bean plants. It is about 6 ft tall but it should be around 10 ft by now.

All this rain that we have had has brought out the mushrooms. I sure wish they were edible. Who knows they might be but I doubt it.

I still have my little fish fountain and it is almost completely surrounded by purple Mexican petunias.

Mrs. Cardinal looks like she is posing for the picture. Just like a woman. And just like a man, Mr. Cardinal continues to eat. Nothing gets between a man and his food.

Now this one has his wife trained properly. She is keeping a lookout while he eats. No chance of that happening in my house.

Well I hope you enjoyed the photo's. This Saturday is the grape stomp at Irvin House Vineyards and I will take as many photo's as I can. I may be a little busy though because yours truly is going to be the head hotdog chef for the event. In addition to the regular hotdogs, beef hotdogs and sausage dogs, I will be making my specialty which is the world famous Blackened Hotdog. For those that like your hotdogs well done, I will be putting some on the grill around 10 am so they should be nice and black by 1:00 when the event starts. If anyone is in the area and thinking about attending, in addition to Chef Greg's world famous hotdogs, there will be BBQ, Bluegrass and lots of wine. I will also have sodas for the little ones. Hope to see you there.

Have a wonderful day,
Greg

Sorry your computer is toast but glad to see you have relaxed and are enjoying your new camera and the beautiful nature in your own backyard. I have a Sony Cybershot too and love it.

Black grill marks on my hotdog only please. Great shots. I miss my birdies since I've moved. I'm not familiar with that castor bean plant. Pretty foliage on it. Have a good day, Greg.

Nice backyard photos. We have a male cardinal living in one of our arbor vitae, and he is just outstanding to see in the winter! Sadly for me, that three is not within view of a window, and he doesn't show up nearly as well in summer with green leaves and bright flowers. In the snow, however, he's the most visible thing around.

It's too far for me to come for your hotdog fest, but maybe I'll send my sons from Rock Hill!

Great pics Greg. Looks like you're going to have fun with this camera.
And there's just so many neat things to take photos of isn't there. Love your yard and wonder if you could send me a couple of those pears - by the first crow you see :)

My first digital was a sony cybershot P-something or other, I loved that camera also. I was really wanting more though within the year.

Yours has way more features than I had and the pixels was what I was missing.
They are great for those scenery shots. Nice color, and amazingly sharp for a point and shoot.

I now have an olympus E-510 and I'm still teaching myself to use it.
Love the comments on the cardinals.
hee hee!

There's just nothing like a good purchase, is there? My hubby got me a Nikon D-40 for mother's day this year. I'm a novice, so it's enough to make me feel like a photographer, but easy enough to figure out. :-)
