Off and running

Hopefully people will be seeing less and less of me. This morning, I started my workout routine at the gym. I joined last night and started exercising this morning. So here is my new schedule. I get up at 4 am. I then have 15 minutes to brush my teeth, shave, start a load of laundry, and then get my things together. The gym is about 30 minutes from my house which is perfect. It is on the way to my office so I don't have to go out of my way.

This morning, I arrived at 4:45. My card key wouldn't work though so I couldn't get in the door. I know the girl that registered me did something wrong though because she was new. Someone else showed up a few minutes later and I managed to convince him to let me in even though there is a sign that says not to do that. I did have a card and a gym bag from the place so it was a pretty good bet that I belonged there. This afternoon, I will get my card fixed and hopefully that will correct the problem.

I did manage to get in a quick mile and a half run on the tread mill so I feel pretty good now. After the workout, I took a shower and then drove the rest of the way into work. It is only 20 minutes from the gym to my office. Wish me luck and I will keep you posted on my progress.

This is how I will look in just a few short weeks. Ok maybe I have my sights set just a bit high but I do plan on getting back in shape.

Have a great day,

Greg

This is great news, good for you!

Cody and I have talked about joining a gym, thinking that working out regularly may help us become more motivated.

Maybe you'll be my inspiration? Do keep us posted on the progress....

I hate the gym. On those days that you don't feel up to it, go for me instead.

I'm not sure that makes any sense at all.

Wow, that's an early start in the morning. Good for you Greg! You'll inspire the rest of us! Your plan to exercise before work sounds like a good one. You'll always get your day off to a good start!
This is a great endeavor, indeed! Good for you! You will notice that after you get over the initial shock of what you're putting your body through, you WILL have a LOT more energy. That's worth the workout, regardless of how much it changes your appearance!

I admire you for getting up at that hour and doing something that's good for you.

Good luck with your new workout plan! Hopefully you will stick it out better than I usually do.....something always seems to come up for me....like being forced to work splits...

Good luck Greg, on the working out and I hope you won't be wishing death and mayhem on whoever manages to fix your card so that it works. If it all gets to be to much, just have a cup of coffee and a doughnut!

So, you are hoping to look like Mr. Universe?

:-)

Exercise is good for the body, inside & out.
Your heart will thank you and any jiggly fatty parts of you are now VERY afraid of becoming extinct.

I know you will succeed. When I get my camera back, I may post a picture of my progress.
