Oh you better watch out, you better not cry.......

He sees you when you’re sleeping.
He knows when you’re awake.
He knows If you’ve been bad or good,
So be good for goodness sake.

Saturday at the market, the young lady in the booth next to us began singing Christmas songs. I quickly joined in much to the dismay of my son who was totally humiliated. At first we tried to come up with the words to “The 12 days of Christmas”. Not the real version but the redneck version written by Jeff Foxworthy. We got most of the verses right but we did miss a few. It didn’t’ matter though because no one else around us knew the words so we got away with it. However I didn’t get away with something else I did.

Remember last week I wrote about some strange people at the market? If you don’t remember, don’t bother going back to read the post. I erased it. Saturday, the person who runs the market, dropped by to see me. It seems that she has this Google notification thingy that emails her when certain words are combined into one sentence. Anyway, she got a notification because I put those three words together in a sentence in that post. So she read it and much to her surprise, she saw my picture and knew it was me. I never realized that people from around here were reading my blog. I decided that it would be best to delete that post since I really don’t want to offend anyone….even weirdoes.

Knowing this, I looked back at some previous visitors and much to my surprise found a few which were labeled government. I am guessing that our government has some of the same search engines out there looking for things that might be anti-government. Nothing surprises me anymore about our government. But just in case I am being watched at this very moment, let me say for the record that I love our government. Even though it is full of corrupt people and many of our laws just don’t make sense.

Speaking of not making sense; Right in front of us at the market was this Menorah. At least that is what we thought it was at first. I have to tell you that I am not all that familiar with the Jewish religion but my first impression was that whoever put up this display not only couldn’t count but they were color blind. You see, there were only 7 candles and I thought there was supposed to be 8 on a Menorah. Also I thought the candles were supposed to be white but this had three green, three red and one black candle. Well Duh, it wasn’t a Menorah, they were Kwanzaa candles. I had to look it up to find this out. Anyway, I also found out that it isn’t anything to do with religion; it is all about being thankful at the end of the year for a bountiful harvest. If anything, it seems to more align itself with New Years than Christmas.

Well some judge sided with the non-Christians and put a hold on the “I Believe” license plates here in South Carolina. He cited that it was a case of separation of Church and State, and the law strictly prohibits combining the two. This sounds like a law that needs to be changed. I am about tired of this but then a long time ago Jesus said this would happen.Thankfully, Jesus also said:

Luke 6: 22 Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.

Have a great day but be good, because He knows everything you do.

Any time I get the courage to pop off about someone, they find out on my blog! I wrote, recently, about someone that took up 8 parking spaces at a restaurant, out of 16 or so, with a huge truck & trailer rig, leaving all of the other customers to park elsewhere and walk in. I called him a "jerkwad" and posted a photo of the offending park-er.

He wrote me later, apparently, I was the #5 hit on a google search for his company. He BEGGED me to take my "unkind words" down.

I emailed him back, told him "well, you WERE rude, you know..." and told him I'd take it down if he sent me some socks for a soldier. He promised to make a donation for Soldier's Christmas gifts. I took down the blog.

And of course, never got the donation.

I'll give him a break, though.

Maybe we should start writing in Pig Latin...what do you say?

I was found the same way by a neighborhood friend and she read my (old) blog for about a year before she came clean. I don't mind when people read it; I just have a problem when they pretend not to know something about my life when they've clearly read it on my blog.

I'll be blogging about this tomorrow.

Thanks for the explanation on Kwanzaa. I was trying to figure out all the different choices of stamps at the post office, and Kwanzaa was right between Hanukkah and the Virgin Mary and Jesus. It gets a little confusing.

I'll have to You Tube Jeff Foxworthy's 12 Days of Christmas one of these days since you brought it up. :)
I'll have to check and see if the government is watching me - I might have concocted a secret recipe - lol. Scarlet is too funny about the piglatin; maybe we could do pig latin and ebonics. Now, I'll never know about the wierdos ~sigh~

There are lots of "big shots" with those google finders. My friend wrote about a bible study we were doing, (luckily all good stuff) and the author of the book left her a comment!!! She had one of those little finder things too. And when I wrote about Bob Coy, his publicist person left me a comment where I could find more of his stuff on line.

Ah life - They see you when your sleeping....STALKERS!

I love the redneck version. You should try the 12 Yats of Christmas, although if you aren't from Louisiana you probably won't understand it. :)

The search engine issue is why I always star out a few letters on my more "offensive" posts. No need to encourage the stalker people.

gotta be careful with those key word searches - can't say anything too incriminating. I sometimes wonder if I should be using real first names - too many of them together could get me in trouble. I was more paranoid when I first started and only used initials.

I don't get the whole separation of church and state for vanity plates - they could have a choice - "I don't believe" after all. Who really cares?

Misc. observations...My daughter was taught about Hannukah and Kwanza(sp?) at school, but nothing about Christmas.

I've noticed that not one store merchant has said Merry Christmas to me this year. When I say it to them they are dumbfounded.

Maybe some of your "visitors" could learn some things by reading your blog.

Thanks for the visit at my place. I always appreciate your comments, Greg.

I can not believe the government visited your blog!! too funny! I started getting more careful on my blog when I realized my son was visiting my blog...so much for venting about my kids! :)

You know that's pretty scary to think that the government might be monitoring what people say, especially when you consider the socialist regime we're about to enter into. :o

The license plate thing is a clear violation of Freedom of Speech. But that goes back to the first thing I said doesn't it? That just burns my backside!

Thrilled with my gifts Greg! Thank you so much!

Isn't it sad that we have to have people check up on us because our world is not as safe a place as we'd like it to be? I don't mind people disagreeing with me if they do it politely. But I do resent feeling self conscious about saying "Merry Christmas" which I have said nigh on these seventy years. But somehow it is now not politically correct. I wouldn't say it to someone who I know does not believe as I do. I have a relative who is Jewish. I choose her card carefully. I consider her feelings. But somehow I feel that people are not considering my feelings if I am banned from saying "Merry Christmas!", or "I believe".

Just wrote out and lost a comment here!! Internet shut me down again.

anyway, without repeating everything I said, I'll say unbelievable about that license plate thing...and about the government... that always disturbs me a little to think they are reading private blogs.
Actually, the Separation of Church and State is not in our Constitution at all; it's based on a letter written from one of our founding Fathers (Jefferson, I believe) and he was talking about keeping GOVERNMENT out of the business of religion (as in not stating a specific religion as this nation's official religion) but it said NOTHING about keeping religion out of the government. Or government buildings or property, or anything of the sort.

It's been so distorted over the years, and laws are made based on other rulings rather than the Constitution. It's created a huge misunderstanding.

Sorry for the rant, but you would be amazed at the things I learn homeschooling my kids! :-)

Wow - sometimes we forget that this is really the WORLD WIDE WEB - LOL!

I love how you ended this post Greg.

If I don't get by before Christmas, Merry Christmas.

Oh and P.S. I'm going to be having a fun jewelry give-away at the beginning of the New Year to launch my new business.

Now I'm guessing you're not a jewelry wearer (grin) but just in case your wife likes jewlery or any of your other readers, I thought I'd cue you in :)

I'll be posting details after Jan. 1st.
