It's a cat's life

I posted a while ago about our Cat named Mr. Tee. If you remember he was attacked by a dog and almost died but I am happy to say that he has fully recovered. I would be even happier if the Vet didn't charge me 400.00 to save him. That was his second brush with death, third if you count that he was abandoned when he was young so I guess he only has 6 lives left. He will be down to 5 if I catch him sleeping on my bed again. Anyway......

In an effort to make him comfortable, I took a box and put in some straw so he would have a comfy place to sleep.

Lets face it, I am a nice guy (when I want to be). Now you know any dog would just be happy with the straw box and just stay there and enjoy being inside. But not Mr. Tee. No he goes for some place where he can really stretch out and really relax. See what I mean.

He loves laying on the back of the couch. Talk about a couch potato! I think Cat in the box sounds better than Cat on the couch. I know where I stand in this house. My wife just confirmed my suspicion on this issue. I need to see if I can fit in the box. Meow!!

Have a great weekend,

Greg

LOL!!! I love it. Let's face it, the box is a bit too small, and which do YOU think would be more comfy?

I hope you said the box, since the cat is on the couch.

Have a nice night. Greg in the box? Hmm, how about if we just start calling you Jack.
Ahahahahaha! Let's see, if you made the box as big as the couch and twice as comfy, you might of won this battle!!

He is as big as my Abbey Baby which is always where she should not be!!

BTW, OUCH! $400 big ones, geeze! I feel you, BFF!!

*chuckle* Hey Greg!!!! Happy New Year!!! Glad Mr. Tee is recovered and back to taking his rightful spot in the house on the couch-back. Hope he stays off your bed though, for his sake. Goodness knows he can't afford to risk more lives this soon.
That is one big cat. I for one vote with Mr. Tee that the box is too small. And straw? C'mon Greg! Would YOU want to sleep on straw? That cat has been through enough trauma. Give him the couch. At least he's not claiming your bed pillow every night.

Oh, and does this mean you're going to be posting cat pics all the time now, Hmmm?

It's a cat's life alright. My cat has turned into two ton Tilly since we moved and have a fenced backyard. She's an outdoor cat and has adopted an old king sized pillow of mine to sleep on. I closed in a potting bench with a big trash bag and she's happy to hunker down back there. I think she'd rather have your couch though.

Oh Greg... (ha ha ha ha) Is your wife going to supply you with a litter box too?

Our Molly loves the top of the couch...and she had two beds!

Hope you sleep well tonight Straw can be a little scratchie... Sweet dreams..

Now really, would you want to sleep on a bed of straw? Not. LOL!! Get Mr T a huge over-stuffed pillow and he might take you up on it. If not at least you'll be more comfortable! :D

Funny, one of my Tobi's Christmas presents was a stuffed dog that has written on it "Why can't I lay on the couch?" She can lay on the couch. Maybe this toy was meant for Mr Tee. Haha!
Did anyone else almost faint over the vet bill? aaaah. You could've bought him his own house for that much. Maybe that can be your next endeavor, a little house with it's own cat sized couch in it. :)

LOL - I love the cat in the box photo (and btw, you ARE a nice guy!)...but everyone knows cats rule the house. The other two pics prove that...along with the comment by your wife. ;)

LOL!!! You are TOO FUNNY!!!! First of all, the box look too small for Mr. Tee. He is a big kitty! And secondly, straw??? PuhLease!!! I wouldn't want to lie on straw either. Especially when there is a nice comfy couch to stretch out on.

Greg, um, "Jack"

There seems to be an overwhelming census on the straw thing. Ouch!

Can I ask...um...why did you...um...think the cat would... um...like the straw in the box? I think horses like straw, not cats.

Just curious:) You're too funny!

That is so hilarious!!! I know what you mean about a cat in bed. I started having allergy attacks after I let my kitties now turned cats, lie on my bed. They are now banned. But at 4 in the morning, they are trying to take my door off...to get in. I swear they are out there with screwdrivers working on the hinges.

In all fairness, Greg, that box is a teeny bit small for poor Mr. Tee. I say if your wife doesn't mind, leave him on the back of the couch. :)

(I'm not much of a cat person, so I'd NEVER suggest co-sleeping in your bed! That spot is reserved for dogs only!)
I don't blame him for moving from the box, it looked to small, he couldn't stretch out. How wonderful if sometimes we could be as carefree as our pets.

My goodness, Mr. Tee looks a LOT like our Brett!
I'll be down Charleston way this week-end, we have another family function in Walterboro on Sunday but I might be out and about on Saturday. I wish the Market were open (do NOT roll your eyes either)

Aw, you've made him very happy! What a lucky cat!
That is one large animal.

And one small box.

I'm just sayin.

Ha! Thanks for the laugh...I love the pic of the original couch potato.
