Thankful Thursday, On the road to recovery.

It’s Thankful Thursday and do I ever have a lot to be thankful for. I am not sure what happened yesterday because I swear I posted but I don't see anything so I must have been delusional. I think I am finally starting to feel better so the medicine must be working. Or I could just be getting used to feeling sick.

1. The first thing I am thankful for is the story of Job. No matter how bad I felt yesterday I kept reminding myself that things could be a lot worse. And no matter what happens in my life I will never blame God. Life is only temporary.

2. I am thankful that I was able to get some rest yesterday and last night. I never take a sick day but at my wife’s insistence I took one yesterday. I slept until almost noon and then just laid around the house the rest of the day. I kept thinking “I sure wish I had one of those Snuggies.” Last night I went to bed around 8 and slept the entire night with only a few brief awake moments.

3. I am thankful to be back at work today. My inbox is full, I had almost 100 emails and my desk is a mess but my at least my ID card opened the gate when I got here which tells me I do still have a job. And the nice thing is all I have to do is sneeze and everyone runs away from me. Talk about power. I may just fake a few sneezes today.

4. I am thankful that I got the parts in for my truck and my son’s truck and they both seem to be the correct parts. With any luck I will have my son’s car back on the road by next week. I think my son will happy to be driving his 4 cylinder engine again instead of my V8. He has had to spend all his money on gas just going back and forth to school. I think he is learning a valuable lesson about having one of those big trucks like so many of his friends have.

5. I am thankful for all my blog friends who not only prayed for Chelsea but for me just because I am a little sick. You all are the best!! Thanks for remembering us in your prayers. And Chelsea is doing much better too by the way.

And in case anyone is in need of a job and thinking of moving to Charleston. Boeing is building a new assembly plant here and there will be lots of jobs offered. This news was just made public last night. If anyone is interested, feel free to email me for more information.

Have a Great day,
Greg

Sorry to hear you had the flu, it went around our house too. I laughed about the sneezing, it's so true. When I went back to work no one would step into my office. At least it made it easier to get caught back up :)

Glad you are doing better.

I have not been to Charleston in many years. I am originally from upstate SC and will visit there this weekend.

Blessings, andrea

I really wish Stacy wasn't so attached to his job and we could move back to Summerville and work for Boeing.

I wish I could sneeze and people would run away from me at work! Ha ha!!!

"I sure wish I had a snuggie." LOL! As busy as you are you'd never use it...except for yesterday. But the visual gives me a laugh for sure!!!!

Glad you are feeling better, and that you have a job and can be left alone by sneezing. Just remember it won't work long, so take advantage of it now.

I woke up with a sore throat. Oh no!

Great list!

Hi Greg ~~ finally getting some visiting of blog friends and find you have been sick....

So sorry...that's a bummer but so glad it was not something more serious and you can get better.

I am so very thankful today...Julie is feeling so much better, and I think I'm getting back my old energy like I had before my episode with cancer.

Praise God from whom ALL blessing flow...

Love ya Greg...

Greg,

I love your list especially number one, no matter how bad our lives can get I think Job had it the worse and he remains a shining example to us all what faith in our loving God can do when you just accept life and move forward.

I'm so glad you got that rest and are feeling better. I wish I could sleep til noon (I've been sleep deprived).

Funny, the story of Job came up over dinner with my father this evening. You're right, he had a tough battle and he's an inspiration to us all!

Glad you're well enough to be back at work, but don't overdo it and end up flat on your back again! (do I sound like an echo of your wife? lol)
So glad you are better, and Chelsea too!!

Love your sneeze power!

Praises.

I'm so glad you're feeling better Greg. I love that you're thankful for the power of a sneeze. LOL!

I remember ADHD-Jo once said in a post that you can wear your bathrobe backwards and it will be just like wearing a Snuggie.

Happy Friday!

So glad you took your wife's advice, Greg! Hope you have a restful weekend as well.
I love your Thankful Thursdays. You have a great perspective on life.

So glad to hear you and Chelsea are doing better. And it's kind of you to give a shout out about the upcoming jobs. Hopefully you'll be able to refer a friend or two.

Happy Friday!

It is great to know that your sinus infection is on the mend. Sinus infections are so miserable, which you now well know. I'm happy to hear good things!
In the Bible, Job sure did have it VERY hard. I think we can handle our problems when we read what he went through. I can't fathom that kind of calamity.
Have a thankful weekend.
Eat some candy!!

Did I already comment on this? Can't remember. Anyway, I hope you're way better by now- it is Saturday. I bet you'll get a lot of inquiries for the jobs from Michiganders. I'm surrounded on all sides here in our neighborhood with unemployed persons.

Take care.
Hope you're feeling better.

Good news about Chelsea.

Cold here today - you could tempt a girl to move south with that Boeing info if all the grandbabies could come too :)
