Thankful Thursday.

Where does the time go? This Thursday kind of slipped up on me. But since I have so much to be thankful for it is never hard to come up with a list. Please join in with Thankful Thursday by visiting Sonya's blog.

(1) Well there is no new news on Chelsea but she is still holding her own and that in itself is a blessing. Every day that we have here on earth is a blessing and I thank God for each and every one that I am given. The reason that the reports are so sketchy on this girl is because her parents are basically camping out at the hospital and no other family can come into the Intensive Care Unit. When I hear something I will let you know.

(2) I am thankful for this nice weather we are having. It was in the 50’s this morning and it is supposed to get into the 70’s by the afternoon. That is just about perfect in my book. I hope the cooler weather holds for another week because my costume is going to be hot and I don’t want my makeup to run if I sweat. Did you hear that…a guy said “I don’t want my makeup to run” haha

(3) I am thankful that the hunter situation has been resolved. This past weekend they were again out in force but they were at another location on the island. They were doing their usual “we are only trying to catch our dogs thing” while trespassing on someone else’s land. Well at this particular location the DNR had placed a decoy deer to catch poachers. One of the hunters was about to shoot it when he noticed that it wasn’t real.

So then this band of hunters decided to take a little break as a show of defiance to the wildlife officers. And since “the DNR can’t do anything unless it involves game of some kind” these guys had a few beers and threw trash out on the street. News flash: The DNR in many cases has more power that regular police. So after writing numerous tickets for littering and public drinking the hunters were sent on their way. Good things come to those who wait.

(4) I am thankful that I have tomorrow off. I will be working on my son’s car all day but at least I am able to do it. I am making some serious progress at getting it disassembled and it looks like I will get that accomplished. I know I can get it back together too and hopefully it will work when I am finished. 
(5) I am thankful that God is so very good to me. I don’t know what I did to deserve all the blessings that I get but I am thankful for them. I guess I must be doing something right.

Have a Wonderful Day,
Greg

Continuing to pray for Chelsea.

Great thankful list! The hunter situation is certainly one to be thankful for...so many times people like that sneak around and don't get caught leaving a mess for others.

Blessings, andrea

I expect to see pictures of the halloween costume, and perhaps even a video (see what I'm saying.)

Enjoy the day off tomorrow!
Really nice list this week, Greg! How great that you are willing to spend your day off working on your son's car. Will he be working with you?

I particularly liked your #5.

I was just over at Beverlydru's blog and she reminded me that I am a human being, not a human doing. God has been impressing on my heart all morning that His provision is not based on my performance. :)

I'm so glad your hunter problem is resolved. Those guys need to have their hunting licenses revoked, but I guess that probably wouldn't stop them.

I'm really impressed with you taking that car apart. I would be too afraid of not getting it back together. LOL!

Greg,

God has really bestowed some great blessings on you. We will continue to lift Chelsea and her family in prayer and also praying that the repairs on the car go smoothly! Here is hoping that you have some wonderful plans for this weekend.

Happy TT Greg.
Your hunter situation is frustrating. I've found deer stands in the woods before with a pile of beer cans under the tree. Drunks with guns.. notcool.*
Hope the car runs when you're done. lol Remember... USE ALL THE PARTS when you put it back together. lol

I had no idea about Chelsea, so yes, please update and tell me more. Meanwhile, I will pray for a little girl named Chelsea and her parents.

The weather has been perfect...minus the rain we had yesterday. The temps are ideal in the upper 60s and 70s.

I'm thankful I fuoud my Walk Thru the Bible book today. This way I can read a little bit each day and not get overwhelmed. "The Message Bible" will have to wait!

Greg, I believe you are doing many things right. Lots of luck with the car. There are a few things I know about a car engine but never in a million years could I take one apart and put it together. Taking a length of material and a pattern and making a dress, that I can do, but a car is a foreign world to me.

Have a wonderful weekend and
God Bless,
Mimmy
