Thankful Thursday

Again I have a lot to be thankful for but I will only list 5 things.

First off I am thankful to just be alive. I am guessing that a few of you were wondering if I still was though since I haven't been posting. Well I am and life is very busy for me but it is still live none the less.

I have a biggie this week. my son got accepted to the college of his choice. Whooo Hooo. We are all so proud of him.

I am thankful for my friends at work. I don't have a lot there but the few I have keep me smiling. Our new catch word is Milkaholic. You have to see the etrade girlfriend commercial to know what I am talking about.

I am thankful for my blog friends who are sticking with me through my lack of blogging times. Stick with me, I will be back with lots of photos very soon.

I am again thankful for all this wood that my wife and youngest son chopped. We are having another cold snap and this fire feels really good.

So what are you thankful for today. I am sure you have a big list too.

I'm thankful we didn't lose power for 48 hours in this second blizzard like we had in the first just last weekend! Arghhh.

First of all, yes, I was wondering where you went (but I get it, b/c I was gone for a long while not too long ago, too)

Secondly, your wife chops wood? That is very cool. I would probably chop off a body part if I tried that. Being a woman who chops wood is definately a characteristic of the woman I want to be.

Finally, I find I don't need many friends. One or two really good ones is pretty awesome- and rare. So, if you have one good one at work- you're doing better than most.

I'm thankful for 1.God-loving authors who have thought out stuff and written it so well that I want to read it.

2. Less snow than lots of southern states are getting. Wow. That is sorta weird.

3. The mugs. I use one every day. Coffee tastes great in a Charleston mug.

It's cold here too and we're expecting more snow on Monday! (incredible!!)

A few great friends are much better than lots of so-so friends.

The legend of Flat Stanley (A Horror Story)

There are a few things in life that upset me: Spiders, rude people, unruly children and spilling my coffee to name a few. But nothing gets my blood boiling faster than hearing the name Flat Stanley. On the surface, Stanley sounds like something innocent, but I am here to tell you that he is evil and has the power to tear your family apart. Flat Stanley was the brain child Dale Hubert, a third grade teacher from Ontario Canada. Back in 1995, he decided to start this project to inflict pain on unsuspecting parents and students as well. The concept is simple: You take a picture of Flat Stanley and decorate it. Then you cut it out and there you have it….Flat Stanley. Then you send it to other people and they take stupid photos of them with Stanley or you take him on vacation with you in order to ruin your vacation and Dale should be shot or better yet put in a pot of boiling oil and slowly fried and tortured and and and Ha Ha….Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha….Whahahahahahahahaha Sorry this happens every ti...
