Yes Dear it's Thankful Thursday

As you may or may not know I have been playing Dr. Dad this week. My wife had an operation and I took some time off to take care of her. If you follow me on Facebook you already know this so I may not be telling you anything you don't already know. Anywhoo she is doing better and recovering nicely although she just tried to kill herself by hopping across the room on one foot to get a Kleenex. So even though it has been another trying week, I am thankful for a lot of things: (and yes I have been saying yes dear a lot lately)

First off I am thankful that my wife is recovering faster than anticipated. She had a bone fragment removed from her heel and the doctor said it was the worst one he had seen in a long time. No wonder she was in so much pain.

I am thankful for living in the country where I can see sights like this. This was a visitor we had on Saturday around mid day.

It's raining as I type this so I am adding it to my list. It has been bone dry (no pun intended honey) and we really needed this. Rain feels and smells so good. I may just run outside and enjoy the cooler temperature.

I wish I could say I was thankful for patience but I failed in this area this week. I lost my temper several times this week but I feel bad about it and for that I am thankful. Some people don't feel any remorse when they do something wrong.

I am thankful that tomorrow is payday. It has been a tight two weeks money wise and tomorrow we will get some relief. Kind of like the rain is giving us some relief tonight. Although it may be temporary, a little relief is better than none at all.

Have a great day,
Greg

Well, Greg, it seems to me you are the most thankful man I know. It never ceases to amaze me the large and small things you find to be thankful for.

Your Thursday posts, always make me reflect on my own blessings.

Tell your wife, you'd be happy to hop across the living room for her kleenex!!!!

Greg,

I am thankful that you have been given time off work to care for your wonderful wife. Let's hope she enjoys you being around to help out, but most women still try to do it all despite needing to rest up.

I love that you have deer so close by and please send the rain this way, we haven't had any in, I can't remember when.

Steve was in NC last week and loved the state but hated the humidity!

I am so grateful to find a "Thankful Thursday" blog hop that honors God.

I hope to see this become more popular as I truly believe that everyone should "Praise God from whom all blessings flow."

It is encouraging and inspiring to find your post, to thank God for your efforts on behalf of your wife and to enjoy the beauty in your photographs.
