Thankful Thursday, Its almost spring


If yesterday was any indication, spring is just around the corner. Not only did the groundhog not see his shadow but here in SC it was sunny and 75. I will take that anytime in February.

So the first thing I am thankful for is that lovely day we had yesterday. Today will be 25 degrees colder but at least we had one day.

I am thankful that I am doing well on my diet. I will be down another two lbs this week making it a total of 8 lbs lost in three weeks. I can do it.

I am thankful that although we aren't getting more this year we are adjusting and living with less. I really don't mind but it took some getting use to.

I am happy that our chickens are doing well. Two days ago, a hawk tried to get to them but they all managed to escape. They are still laying eggs as of yesterday anyway.

I am happy that it is Thursday and Friday is just around the corner. It has been a hectic week for me at work and I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend. It is supposed to rain but I have no outside activities planned so bring on the rain.

Congratulations, Greg ~ 8 lbs is a lot. Great beginning for your healthy stand.

You talking bout your chickens and eggs makes me remember how I love those fresh eggs growing up, but I was afraid to going under the hen to get them... My mom made it look so easy.

Thankful Thursday, We can do this

Hello everyone and welcome to Thankful Thursday. To tell the truth I woke up this morning, unprepared, thinking that I would only write a goodbye post and graciously bow out of blogging forever. Life isn't easy for me these days. I have more problems than most people would be able to deal with. Between family, work and financial commitments I am just about broke. My mental and physical bank account is drained and there is no relief in site. However through it all, I keep getting little glimpses of hope and that keeps me going. When I logged on this morning to make that goodbye post, I had some great comments on my last post. Those little comments (along with some really strong coffee) gave me the strength to keep moving and not give up. So here are the little things I am thankful for this morning; I am thankful for the person at work who told me this week that they didn't mind helping me because I am a nice person.
