Sunday Flowers

When I was young, we would stop and pick up my Grandmother and take her to church. She always went with us. Now that I think back I actually never saw her drive and she didn't even own a car. I will have to do some digging and see if anyone knows why. She did love to garden though and in the summer she brought flowers from her garden to put in our church. I owe much of my love for gardening to her.

So here are the new additions to our garden this Sunday and I would like to dedicate them to my Grandmother Green. If she were alive today she would be proud of my gardens.

This is a Confederate Jasmine.

Bottle brush.

We have our first squash and they plants are blooming like crazy.

This is a daylily that is a cross between a Leomnade and a Plum crazy. We don't have a name for it yet.

This daylily is called Frankly Scarlett.

This is Lantana that I picked one time when we were at a park down in Florida. I pulled up one little root and now I have a huge plant.

This daylily is called Orange sherbet.

Pink Mexican petunia.

Blue Mexican petunia

And finally this is a new rose that my wife recently got.

We had a great day at the Market and at the Tea Festival yesterday. And I am still participating in the 30 X 5 challenge over at Second Cup of Coffee. This is water week so make sure you get plenty. I lost another lb. I am not bragging, I am just saying. :)
Lets all have a great week.
Greg

I love the Frankly Scarlett and the Lantana, which I think should be named "Santana" after Carlos.
Your plants are gorgeous! That jasmine is huge - your garden must smell amazing!

And your lilies bloom in so many colors. Everything is really lovely. Nice work Greg!

Your grandmother would be proud. The day lily is my favorite, but they're all beautiful...and so colorful. I'd love to spend a day in your garden...but then you'd probably call the cops and sue me for trespassing! ;)

Btw, congrats on losing another pound. You looked great in your last video, so I guess you must be getting quite thin!

Have a wonderful week, Greg! Looking forward to your next post.

Hi Greg, I'm jealous the temp in Indiana was in the sixties and we are under a frost warning, I had to cover everything I wanted to keep alive.

Congrats on losing another pound. I think I found it:)
Your plants are great! We still don't know half of what grows down here. Give me a good lilac bush any day!

You have some beautiful plants and I love the daylilies.

I'm a beginner gardener so I get real excited when I see my plants bloom.

Thanks for the visit,
Tammy

Your granny is grinning in heaven. I'd call that cross breed plum-ade or Lemon Crazy. heehee.

I loved the Confederate jasmine. Does it smell good?

Greggie, Greggie, never nagging, how does your garden grow? With jasmine vines & lilies fine, and lots of vegetables all in a row.
