Thankful Thursday

Wow where did the week go? I can’t believe it is Thursday already. And because it is Thursday, it is also Thankful Thursday so here is my list for the week:

1. I am thankful for the rain we have been getting. Sometimes I wonder if God has a sense of humor. Everyone prays for rain. I can just imagine God saying: “You want rain? I will give you rain. Take that.” We got lots of rain last night along with some strong winds and even some hail. Be careful what you pray for, you may just get it.

2. I am thankful for more sore muscles. My legs are killing me after spinning twice over the past week. The workouts are great and they really give my heart a good beating. (Pun intended)

3. I am thankful for an ever growing level of patients. I seem to be coming to grips with the fact that there are things out there beyond my control and I need to not just go on with my life and not let them affect me.

4. I am thankful for new friends and old that I am meeting through Blogging, Facebook and Twitter. Some would say that these relationships aren’t real but I beg to differ. Many of you have touched my life though your stories, comments and encouragements and I thank you all.

5. I am thankful for encouraging and uplifting music on “His Radio.” I listen to the morning show with Rob and Kristen every morning on my way to work and they play some awesome music and give encouraging thoughts to start my day. Here is one of the songs they play:

I have to admire that spinning. I did one class years ago, and it almost killed me. But your class sounds fun the way you described it the other day.
Hey Greg- I'm a new follower and I'm in Charleston, too. I glad I found a fellow Southerner!

I hope you count me as a "new" friend, I'd hate for you to think of me as OLD. LOL!

I agree, I have made some wonderful bloggy friends and they are real to me!

I'm thankful we aren't having rain while they are replacing our roof!!!

Ahhhhh......so YOU'RE the reason I'm not getting any rain!!!! :o)
No, seriously, we're praying for rain, God just hasn't decided we need as much as you do I guess! :o)
Keep up the great work with your work outs---I'm envious!
Blessings!

Greg,

I left you a follow-up comment on the comment section of my blog post today. :)

It is great to have sore muscles - it means your improving your health and it just feels great! Can't wait to get all settled in at my new house which is only 2 miles from a YMCA! YEAH!

Take Care,

Great List.

I envy your ability to do spin class, I would pass slap out.
That's lots to be thankful for. And I agree with you about online friends. I feel like I know you and I look forward to your comments, blog posts, stories, and your wacky sense of humor! : )
I love that song we sing it at our Church a lot! In fact we sing loads of Chris Tomlin's!
Well done for spinning! My friend and I are going to start playing badminton when she gets back from Ireland. Need to lose some weight!

Thankful for you too Greg. I always love hopping over here to see what new "thing" is lining the shelves of Greg's General Store!

Blessings,
Susan

P.S. Did anything ever come of that newspaper thing? Email me if you can, I'm interested to know what happened. I just entered a little contest where I had to write a blib about a favorite local business, we'll see what happens, at the very least I made a copy for my local hair salon to use for their publicity.

I thought the bloggies were real friends. Feel real.

I admire your 4:30 am. commitment- spinning. Whew! The only thing spinnin' in my life at that hour is the fan by my cozy bed.

We need some rain. But not tomorrow. Fash is having a pool party tomorrow.

Always enjoy reading your posts!

I never heard of Thankful Thursday before, but I'm thankful I found yours. What an awesome list. But rain? I've had enough of that to last a lifetime, even though those in the know keep telling us we need more.
