The Love Boat

Oh I remember it well. Those Love Boat Cruises where the captain and crew did everything to make their passengers have the best time ever. They did everything from free babysitting to mending broken relationships. And through it all they kept those perky smiles on their faces.



Excuse me for a second while I get sick. Anywho……

Well they have done it again. Carnival Cruise Lines that is. First it was the singles cruise, then the gay and lesbian cruise, followed closely by the divorced cruise and let’s not forget the au natural cruise. But this latest one tops them all. Yes I am taking about the Cougar Cruise. But before you go looking for a big cat to take along with you on your cruise be forewarned. We aren’t talking about these cougars;






We are talking about these cougars;




And from what I have heard, the second type of cougar is much more dangerous.



That’s right, Carnival Cruise Lines is arranging a Cougar cruise for this December and it is sure to be a fun cruise as long as you are an older woman who just happens to like younger men or a young man who just happens to like older women. Now I am thinking about taking a cruise soon but I am thinking I will make sure it isn’t this one. Hummmmm Cougar Cruise! What will they think of next?



However, I do have one suggestion for the bartenders on this cruise. Learn how to make a Geritol Mojito?




“Come on boys, we’ll be waiting for you on the au natural deck.”

The whold "couger" thing just disgusts me. Stupid. The cruise even more so! But hey- to each his/her own.
Oh and I booked our get-away to Charleston Oct 16-18 so we will be dropping by the Market on the 17th!

Hmm. Interesting. I had not heard of all these cruises. I can't quite imagine being on a big boat in the middle of the ocean with a bunch of strangers, in general, so can't even get to the "themed" idea- personally.

Sorry about the potty story today- the thing is I am so sick of my bathroom project and everything that is related to it. It was actually me just trying to make the best of something. I actually never wanted to live in the suburbs.

I think all of these specialty cruises are just a way to boost the economy and find a way to encourage people to spend money on a cruise. The sad thing is that eventually it will appeal to someone.

Oh my, and I know someone who I really can't stand that I'd love to send this post too! Fits her perfectly.

I am really surpsied that Canrival is doing this since they are best known as a family oriented cruise line.

The legend of Flat Stanley (A Horror Story)

There are a few things in life that upset me: Spiders, rude people, unruly children and spilling my coffee to name a few. But nothing gets my blood boiling faster than hearing the name Flat Stanley. On the surface, Stanley sounds like something innocent, but I am here to tell you that he is evil and has the power to tear your family apart. Flat Stanley was the brain child Dale Hubert, a third grade teacher from Ontario Canada. Back in 1995, he decided to start this project to inflict pain on unsuspecting parents and students as well. The concept is simple: You take a picture of Flat Stanley and decorate it. Then you cut it out and there you have it….Flat Stanley.
