Thankful Thursday

It's that time again. Time to celebrate Thankful Thursday Please join me,Sonya and all the others in taking a moment to be thankful for the blessings that God has given us.

1. I am thankful for all my Blog friends. You are all really wonderful people. After my last post, I got a lot of uplifting and encouraging emails. Thank you all.

2. I am thankful for my broken riding mower. I am not sure why yet but there must be a reason for it breaking down. The part that I went to get turned out to be the wrong one so the mower is still broken. I do however have two push mowers and two boys. Hmmmm do the math.

3. I am thankful that it is payday. I thought this day would never come. That was the longest two weeks that I can remember. Doing without makes one appreciate when you have things. I am contemplating fasting for a few days very soon. Anyone want to do it with me?

4. I am thankful for another great spin class. The songs last night were uplifting and inspirational. I found myself praying through some of the ride and getting not only some much needed physical strength but some spiritual strength as well.

5. I am thankful for ever growing patients. A lot of things have been happening in my life lately that in years ago would have pushed me over the edge. Now I just think about them for a moment and then put them in the “it really doesn’t matter” pile and go on with my life. I am still having tons of challenges but they are now rolling off like water off a ducks back. Quack quack.

Have a Blessed day,
Greg

Great list, Greg. I'm thinkin the math on the mowers works out nicely. At least for you. :) Fasting? hmmm. I'll give it some prayer thought. Blessings, SusanD
Greg you quack me up!
I tell ya, I am very impressed with you and your spin class, that takes endurance, congrats at keeping with it!
Pay day here is tomorrow, can't wait!

I did a class at the Y once that included maybe 20 minutes of spin. I don't really know since I never could stay with it. The only song it ever brought to mind was from Hee Haw...gloom, despair and agony on me . . .

Another great list - thanks for sharing and reminding us to count our blessings.

It's not easy to be a duck sometimes. You have a great list! Nice to meet you and have a great week.

Great list once again:)) Glad you feel encouraged and are having a great day:)
Hey, buddy! I haven't been in touch in a while, so I'm gonna have to go back and find out why you needed so much encouragement! What a lousy friend I am for not being here too to give you some. :-(

But I'm glad to see you are realizing what really matters and not stressing over what doesn't. That's a hard distinction for me sometimes, too.

We also have two mowers and two mowing-able boys. It's niiiiiiiice.
Have a great day!

I may possibly be on board for the fasting, depends on the days (because of my schedule). Spinning question: how to do it without being too sore to sit! I did one last year, made it through, loved it...but, my sit bones were sore for a month! So painfully sore that I didn't go back! I've always been a dancer, so I'm used to being sore, but this was a SORE I'd never known before! Ouch!

Great list! Our mower broke as well. I have one push mower and a husband :) We always bother the father in laws mower. It's one of those industrial ones. We now cut the grass in like 5 minutes. It's fabulous!

I'd love to join you on the fast but I think I would last maybe half a day and then cave. I'll ponder it though.
Yep two boys + two pushmowers = greg's yard being cut!

So glad you are doing well in spin class, what exactly do you do there? spin? dance? I truly want to know!
Fasting? How cool is that? I'm reading through a book about fasting by Jentezen Franklin and it is AMAZING! My husband and I are planning on enlisting these principles in our lives.

I highly recommend reading his book if you get the chance. It has given me the right perspective on what to expect out of a fast.

Take care!

Greg,

As always a great list! You combine blessings with a bit of humor and that is so like you. I am blessed that you continue to lighten our loads and not only make us laugh sometimes, but definitely smile for sure.

Number 2 and 5 are my faves. My husband used to quack at me when I was pregnant. Do the math. Teehee.
I'm much better at slowing than fasting.

Whenever I pop by and you've posted a Thankful Thursday, I really love it! It makes me smile as I read what you are thankful for, and then it makes me smile as I think of things I am thankful for.

I know I shouldn't, but I have to say it, I had to read about the ever growing patients a few times, then I got it. Sorry, it's okay, it's me- I'm part grammarian. I'm also slow thinking sometimes.

I'm ever impressed with all that spinning. You shoulda been a spider.
