Random Dozen, this makes 24

Again I have been lax in my blogging duties. I feel like I am in a rut. But I am going to participate again in the weekly random dozen. It's the least I can do for my fans. :) Enquiring minds want to know.

1. When was the last time you craved a food--what was it, and did you cave? Did I cave? I always do. I usually crave spicy things. Last night after spin class I was really craving pizza. As I walked from the building a Dominoes pizza delivery car passed right in front of me and I took that as a sign from God. Not only did I want pizza, God wanted me to have it. I quickly drove home knowing that I had a frozen pizza there that I could quickly fix. As my luck runs, my family had made pizza for dinner and there was some waiting for me when I got there. Life is good.

2. M & M's or Skittles? Peanut M & M’s are my favorite. I can do without the regular M & M’s and the Skittles. Of course if that is all we have I will eat them.

3. Have you ever read the Bible completely through? Well thank you for asking. You did this just or me didn’t you? Yes just last year I read it from cover to cover. You knew that.

4. How long does it take you to really wake up in the morning? About 10 seconds which is twice as long as it takes me to fall asleep. After 20 years in the military, when the alarm goes off, I get up. In fact I usually get up before my alarm goes off. 3:45 this morning I got up.

5. Have you ever been on a cruise? If not, would you like to? Yes my wife and I have been on two. I loved them both. I hope that someday we can take another one. Hint hint.

6. Who is your favorite actress? Hmmm tough question. I really don’t have a current favorite. I have always liked Goldie Hawn. I think she was hysterical in Foul Play.

7. ______ is something that I will just never understand. Miranda rights! I’m sorry but guilty is guilty. That thing of being guilty but getting let off because you admitted it without a lawyer present. Give me a break. Take the lawyer down too. And plea bargaining. There’s another thing along the same lines. When someone says; I will give you the name if you give me a lighter sentence I would break out the jumper cables and say I will use less voltage if you tell me right away. See you got me started now. I am all upset. Way to go Linda. Our legal system is really screwed up. Enough said.

8. How much of a technology junkie are you? On a scale of one to ten I am about a two. I used to be a nine but now I really don’t care for hot new things. It’s hard to beat a good slide rule.

9. Do you enjoy selecting greeting cards for people, or is it more of a cultural "have to" for you? Truth is I have a hard time finding one that says what I want to say. I usually have to settle for something close. I am still looking for a mother’s day card that says; “Thanks for having me….I guess.”

10. When was the last time you got a new style/haircut? That was at Halloween. Remember I shaved my head to dress up like Uncle Fester. It is getting back to normal now. The only trouble is it is coming back in more gray than before. I think it may be time for some “Just for men.”

11. What do you enjoy shopping for most? I guess that would be food. I am really not a shopaholic. I only shop for other things at Christmas time. Of course as a man I will also have to say tools. You can never have too many tools.

12. What's the last thing you think of before you leave the house? Did I shut everything off? I am a worry wart when it comes to things like this. This morning I thought I left a pot of water on the stove with it on. I had to go back in to check. I didn’t leave it on….I think I checked that. Or did I?

Have a great day,
Greg

I always love your answers! SO you were in the military for 20 years? Did I know that and is that why you work where you do now?
What branch? My husband is a former Marine, you know the branch the Navy tries to be part of:)
You slay me.

I'm sure God sent that pizza car because He wanted you to pig out after working out. Right on!

"It's hard to beat a good slide rule." ha ha!

And your mother's day card...oh! Too much.

Hope you have a great day, Greg!
Pizza?? Somebody say pizza?? Ears way up!!

Amen to #7...I could get into why I think so but one rant a blog is enough...ha ha.

Pizza always gets me too...something about that ooey, gooey cheese, with lots of crisp veggies and that warm crust...

uh oh...gotta go!!

Amy
#4 - you are a sick man. LOL

#7 - Amen!!

I loved reading your answers...so funny. Who are we to question God when He sends a pizza delivery right under our noses? I for sure would have taken that as a sign.

#7-agreed!

Your #12 and mine were the same. I wish I didn't need to re-check but that is hard for me.

Great answers!

Greg, I always come look for your answers since you're the only guy brave enough to do this week after week.

I have to disagree with your answer to #7 though. Before I was a defense lawyer I was a prosecutor and I definitely rode the self-righteous high horse...thinking defense lawyers were one tiny step above their clients. Then I went to do criminal defense work for people and even when my clients were dirt bags, it was clear to me that if I let the government get away with manipulating the evidence, it would be a short jump to the non-dirtbags. Ernesto Miranda WAS a dirtbag, but the rights warning named after him protects you and me if we get accused . . . just something to think about...

And that pizza thing - I am so with you on that. Which is why we have rationing on it around here! It undoes all my good intentions!

1. Life is good. Pizza makes me feel the same way.

2. I think I am the only person that chose Skittles.

3. WOW!

4. 3:45!!??!! Wow! I had no problem getting up in the middle of the night or early morning when the fire alarm went off, but other than that....maybe I should try going to bed at a decent hour.

6. Laugh In...haha

7. Thank you. Thank You!
THANK YOU!!!!
Guilty is guilty is guilty.
I HATE when an obvious criminal goes free because of some stupid technicality. PLUS....the best time to get them to admit anything is right away when they are more afraid and even better have a 6 1/2 ft, 245 lb, all muscle cop up in his face.

10. Uncle Fester! WAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Gray hair on men is sexy...on women it just looks old....very unfair!

P.S. Miranda Rights....hhmmm...can't you just see a police officer reading them to me..."Lady PLEASE STOP TALKING!!!"

Opps, I almost forgot.

#9. LOVE your Mother's Day Card. I would buy it!!

Fun answers! Leave the grey...it looks distinguished, although you make a fine Uncle Fester.
If that was not a sign for pizza I don't know what is :) and Good Gravy did I read that right 3:45am..yikes. I am the same about worrying if I shut everything off.

3:45? In the a.m.? Is there such a time? :v)

LOL to #1. Yes God does work in mysterious ways including sending pizza trucks by to speak to us. I totally would have taken that as a sign too. Mind you when it comes to pizza, I will take anything as a sign that I can have some!

Loved your answers.

Greg,

Just how do you get through all the lineage chapters in the Numbers part of the Bible, this is always the most difficult for me to gain anything from.

Steve is a huge fan of Peanut M&M's too, I just need to get him to share more when he has them. I've never seen anyone eat them as quick as he does.

All the talk of pizza. Oh my, I think I could eat pizza everyday. My girls are the same way especially my youngest one. Don't ask where she wants to go eat unless you want pizza.

I love it when God sends me pizza. YAY!

And I love your mothers day card. I hate buying cards for "have to" people but love buying cards when I want to.
